Adrian Cole’s By The Edge is transformative, infectious. This writing takes the space it needs and invites the reader to be changed. From the Author

A life is not as cohesive as a story – it’s a collision, a collapse, then claw and build to something new altogether. I’ve always been fascinated by the boundaries we create – between each other, between nature and what we call society, between compassion and violence, between the body and soul. My work is a reckoning of grief, an observation of a collective grief, and a way I pieced myself together to be ready to welcome something more – a struggle toward a life I wanted.

Above all else, in this collection I acknowledge I am animal – as are you – and in this way we can all reconnect. This is a hand extended, and in that way it is a reflection of my greatest hopes and openness.
